Tchaikovsky – 180! / Чайковскому – 180!

This year we celebrate 180th anniversary of Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

He wrote his piano suite “The Seasons” in 12 months, writing one piece a month.

Last year, preparing for the composer’s anniversary, we recorded “The Seasons” – also one piece a month.

Happy Birthday, Piotr Ilyich!

В этом году мы празднуем 180-летний юбилей Петра Ильича Чайковского.

Свою фортепианную сюиту «Времена года» он написал за 12 месяцев, сочиняя каждый месяц по одной пьесе.
В прошлом году, готовясь к Юбилею композитора, мы записали цикл «Времена года» - тоже по одной пьесе в месяц.

An international award for Antoine

At the 5th Luxemburg "Artistes en Herbe" 2020 International Composers Competition, Antoine Villéger received a Prize "Pianissimo" in the Junior "Jeune Espoir" (11-15 y old) category:

Over 200 compositions were adjudicated

Because to the exceptionally high quality of submissions the prizes are divided between 2 and 3 composers

"North Shore Waltz" for piano & orchestra

Opening the Saturday March 7, 2020 concert "Saxophones Glorious and Piano Galore for Us", Antoine's "North Shore Waltz" Op. 12f, arranged for piano & orchestra was premiered with the Lions Gate Sinfonia conducted by Maestro Clyde Mitchell and the composer at the piano.
